Lululemon Q3 Run Campaign
WKV built a full social content suite for lululemon’s Q3 Run campaign, spanning ambassador storytelling, community-led reels and a locally shot product carousel to drive awareness and connection with the running community.
The Brief
For lululemon’s Q3 Run campaign, the goal was to strengthen the brand’s relevance and credibility within the running community, while driving consideration for the Run collection through content that felt authentic, relatable and genuinely relevant in-feed.
The Solution
We built a suite of social content that extended the Made To Run platform across formats, stories and touchpoints — not as isolated executions, but as one connected system.
Ambassador storytelling, community voices, product-led formats and locally relevant creative each played a different role, giving the campaign more ways to resonate with runners and show up naturally across the run conversation.
The result was a higher-volume content suite that let lululemon show up consistently and with variety, while keeping every asset connected back to the same platform.
It’s proof that a bespoke, audience-led content system can create more value across a campaign than a single big-budget hero asset.
Real Runner’s Truths
Running is rarely just about the run. For Real Runner’s Truths, we didn’t want to tell runners why they run. We wanted them to tell each other. We asked one question: what has running done for you? Then invited people to leave a message for whoever that answer led back to; a mate, a parent, whoever got them into it or kept them going.
What came back was poignant, human and less about performance than the people, perspective and sense of belonging running can bring.A simple, social-first idea that gave the running community the microphone and helped embed lululemon in the conversations already happening around the sport.
By using real community voices rather than a brand-led message, the format built cultural relevance and credibility through the people runners are more likely to recognise and trust.
Made for Sydney
Made for Sydney connected the marathon collection directly to the city it was created for.
As part of lululemon’s Q3 Run campaign, we shot the new capsule collection across iconic, hyper-relevant Sydney backdrops; locations true to the runners who’d actually wear it, leaning into the city’s own energy rather than overselling the product.
The strategic job was localisation: making the collection feel unmistakably Sydney without making the brand look like a tourist. By putting the product in environments familiar to local runners, the city became context rather than backdrop, building relevance while letting the collection speak for itself.
Obsess the Journey
Rather than focusing only on race day, Obsess the Journey centred the moments that make up the marathon experience; the long runs, progression, doubt, discipline and mindset along the way.
The strategic opportunity was to make lululemon relevant across the whole runner journey, not just at its most visible finish-line moment. Ambassador voiceover was paired with emotive running footage, positioning each runner almost like a coach and grounding the storytelling in real experience. That combination of lived experience and locally captured visuals gave the advice more authority, while making the content feel recognisable to the community it was speaking to.
Words of Affirmation
Words of Affirmation shifted the focus from the individual runner to the people behind them. Ambassadors reacted to real words of encouragement from friends, family and the wider community, creating an emotive piece about the support that grounds runners through doubt and pushes them forward when it matters most.
It widened the campaign’s definition of the run community beyond the person doing the running, tapping into a universal part of the marathon journey: the people who help get you there. Keeping the reactions genuine gave the format an emotional payoff that couldn’t be scripted.
Escape the Noise
Escape the Noise explored the role running can play beyond physical performance. Built around the question, “How does running help you escape the noise?”, the content used distinct ambassador perspectives to show how running can create clarity, quiet and headspace; giving the campaign an emotional idea bigger than the product itself.
Rather than manufacturing a brand story, we built the idea around a truth runners already recognise, giving lululemon a credible role in a conversation that goes deeper than pace, distance or performance. The product remained present, but earned its place through the runner’s story rather than becoming the story itself.
Feel the Product
Feel the Product turned technical product storytelling into a social format people would actually want to watch. lululemon ambassadors blindly felt and guessed different run products, naturally calling out features and benefits as they tried to identify each piece. It made product education feel more like entertainment; and less like the brand speaking at the audience.
This directly addressed a common product-content problem: features can lose impact when they’re delivered as polished brand messaging. By turning product discovery into a game and putting ambassadors in the role of credible users, technical benefits came through conversationally and in a format native to social.
