We Know Video produced a brand film for UNSW’s Centre for Ideas — a public-facing platform housing podcasts, articles, live talks and written content from researchers, thinkers and contributors across culture, science and society. The creative challenge was representing a platform with an enormous volume of existing material without flattening it into something generic. To solve this, We Know Video used AI to analyse and distil the Centre for Ideas’ existing content library, surfacing key themes, references and contributors. A human copywriter then worked from that refined output to craft a script where every line draws directly from the platform itself rather than describing it from the outside. Visually, the film takes a deliberately different approach to institutional filmmaking. Rather than leaning on video footage, the piece is built almost entirely from still photography — giving it an editorial, archival quality that reflects the Centre for Ideas’ tone. Imagery was chosen to track the script directly: when a contributor is framed as a researcher, a rebel, or a particular kind of thinker, the visuals reinforce that idea. The result is a brand film where nothing is incidental — script, image and subject are working together throughout.
